Hwasun-gun Extends Application Period for 'Youth Employment Housing Cost Support'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 7th that it has extended the application period for the ‘Youth Employment Housing Cost Support Project,’ which alleviates the housing cost burden for young workers employed at small and medium-sized enterprises living in jeonse or monthly rental housing.
Originally, 15 applicants were to be recruited by February 21, but only 6 have applied so far. The county plans to continuously recruit applicants until the remaining budget for 9 applicants is exhausted.
This project is jointly funded by Jeollanam-do and the county, providing young workers with housing cost support of 100,000 KRW per month for up to 12 months.
The county has been promoting this project since last year to reduce the economic burden caused by housing rental expenses and encourage settlement in the Jeonnam region.
Eligibility requirements include ▲young workers aged 18 to 39 residing in the county and employed at small and medium-sized enterprises within Jeollanam-do ▲residing in jeonse housing (with loans of 50 million KRW or more) or monthly rental housing ▲household income at or below 150% of the median income standard. All conditions must be met as of the application date.
