Gwangju Seo-gu Begins Distribution of 'Emergency Disaster Relief Fund'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) announced on the 7th that it is providing the national emergency disaster relief fund to guarantee the livelihood and income of citizens struggling due to COVID-19.
The emergency disaster relief fund being provided this time is supported to all citizens regardless of income or property.
The support amount is 400,000 KRW for single-person households, 600,000 KRW for two-person households, 800,000 KRW for three-person households, and 1,000,000 KRW for households of four or more.
Support information can be checked by the head of household's public authentication on a separate website (긴급재난지원금.kr) to view the support criteria such as the number of household members.
Households receiving livelihood benefits, disability pensions, and basic pensions that require urgent support have been receiving cash support since the 4th without separate application or visit.
General citizens who do not receive cash can choose their preferred method among credit/check card charging or receiving the Gwangju Sangsaeng Card.
Those who wish to charge credit/check cards can apply online on the card company's website from the 11th as the head of household, or visit bank counters linked with the card company from the 18th to apply.
Card point charging will be credited to the owned credit/check card about two days after the application date.
Citizens who wish to receive the Gwangju Sangsaeng Card can receive it at the local community center from the 18th.
The credited points and Gwangju Sangsaeng Card can be used at restaurants, small marts, convenience stores, traditional markets, etc. in the Gwangju area, excluding department stores, large marts, online shopping malls, and entertainment establishments.
The credited points and Sangsaeng Card must be used by August 31, and the Sangsaeng Card will not be reissued if lost.
To avoid congestion due to concentration of applications, an 'application day system' similar to the mask 5-day rotation system is implemented.
