On the 7th, the National Health Commission of China (NHC) announced that as of midnight, 2 new COVID-19 cases were added in China. Both cases were imported from overseas, entering Shanghai and Guangdong Province as imported cases.
Including the new confirmed cases, the total cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in China has reached 82,885. Among them, 4,633 have died, 77,957 have recovered, and currently only 295 are receiving COVID-19 treatment.
The number of asymptomatic infections, which are not included in the confirmed case statistics, currently stands at 880, including 6 cases reported the previous day. Asymptomatic infections refer to individuals who test positive for COVID-19 but do not exhibit symptoms such as fever, cough, or sore throat.
