Saemaeul Geumgo Launches The Banking App Allowing Easy Transfers of Up to 10 Million KRW Per Transaction
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Saemaeul Geumgo has launched a new smart banking application (app).
Saemaeul Geumgo announced on the 7th that it has released the 'MG The Banking' app.
The main features of this app include a complete overhaul of the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), improved and simplified authentication convenience, easy transfers without security media, and mobile-specialized services.
The app name was changed from the existing Saemaeul Geumgo Smart Banking to MG The Banking.
The use of public certificates has been minimized, and login and authentication have been strengthened through simple passwords and biometrics (fingerprint and facial recognition). Additionally, the provision of a digital one-time password (OTP) service enhances user authentication convenience.
Transfer tasks have been further simplified. By implementing 'Simple Pass' through mobile device verification, security has been enhanced while the transaction process has become easier. Simple Pass is a service applied to simplified financial transactions such as login, transfers, and simple withdrawals using a 6-digit simple password. Transfers of up to 10 million KRW per day are allowed once per day.
An app launch commemorative event is also being held. Until the 11th of next month, the first 10,000 users who sign up for Simple Pass will receive a 5,000 KRW mobile gifticon.
Existing app users can use MG The Banking simply by updating the app.
