Infraware Signs Agreement with 'Sweet'... Targeting Untact Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] InfraWare, a specialist in office software, announced on the 6th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with collaboration solution provider Swit to strengthen competitiveness in the cloud collaboration tool market.
Amid the global spread of flexible work systems such as remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the goal is to target the cloud collaboration tool market based on remote work.
Through this agreement, Swit will provide its paid services free of charge for a certain period to Polaris Office users and plans to expand its competitiveness in the global collaboration tool market by utilizing Swit’s Application Programming Interface (API).
InfraWare’s flagship service, ‘Polaris Office,’ has secured over 90 million global customers since its launch in April 2014. It supports viewing and editing of all documents including MS Office, Hancom Office Hangul (HWP), and PDF, and offers excellent compatibility, supporting not only Windows but also iOS and Android.
Additionally, as a cloud-based service, it enables collaborative document editing, providing convenience in terms of work collaboration. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, overseas users and paid subscribers have rapidly increased, with new users growing by more than 70% and paid subscribers by more than 90% from January to April.
Swit is characterized by providing services of enterprise messenger Slack and project management solution Asana on a single platform with an intuitive user interface and fast operation speed. Since its official service launch in 2019, it has rapidly grown by acquiring about 1,200 corporate customers within one year of release.
Recognized as a promising Silicon Valley startup, Swit won the ‘Growth Startup of the Year’ award at the ‘Startup Grind Global Conference 2020’ held at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, California, USA, last February.
Lee Haeseok, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of InfraWare, said, “As collaboration tools increase recently, usage can become complicated, which may reduce work efficiency. Through collaboration with Swit, we will create and provide an all-in-one collaboration tool that anyone can easily use.”
