Property Tax Reduction for Commercial Building Owners Participating in the 'Good Rent Movement'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Jeong Jong-sun) announced on the 6th that it will reduce property tax for 'good landlords' who lowered commercial rent to support small business owners struggling due to COVID-19.
The county plans to reduce the July property tax (building portion) for commercial building owners who participated in the 'Good Rent Movement' by the same rate as the rent reduction.
The eligible recipients are building owners who lowered rent for small business owners and micro self-employed tenants for more than three months before the 1st of next month.
Buildings corresponding to entertainment bars, gambling establishments, etc., as specified in Article 13, Paragraph 5, Subparagraph 4 of the Local Tax Act, are excluded.

Building owners wishing to apply for the reduction can visit the Jangheung-gun Finance Department or the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Center from the 1st to the 30th of next month with the application form, copies of lease contracts before and after the rent reduction, proof of rent reduction (such as bank transfer details), and tenant business registration certificates to apply.
