1900, 9900 Won Card Tag, Cash·Zero Pay... Jeong Soon-gyun, Gangnam District Mayor, Says "Creating 'Elegant Gangnam' with a Spirit of Coexistence"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will launch the "Let's Join the Hope Donation Relay Campaign" at 11 a.m. on the 6th at COEX Mall, based on the spirit of "Mimiwi (Me Me We)" which emphasizes togetherness, consideration, and respect.
This campaign is a voluntary fundraising movement for vulnerable groups and small business owners struggling due to COVID-19, running for 60 days until July 4. The funds raised through the donation campaign will be used to purchase products from local small businesses to create "Hope Kits," which will then be provided to vulnerable groups, aiming to revitalize the local economy while helping neighbors in need.
The fundraising opening event, hosted by traditional Korean musician Aeri Park, will feature a donation relay performance starting with Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun, followed by celebrities, prominent social figures, and resident representatives.
In particular, participant certification photos and social distancing record videos will be broadcast through the 100-meter-long large media "Underworld Panorama" installed at Starfield COEX Mall, and Hallyu stars such as NCT 127 will attend to support the donation relay event.
Attendees can donate 1,900 KRW or 9,900 KRW to the Community Chest of Korea via transportation or credit card tag methods at donation zones set up in COEX Mall and the district office lobby until the 19th. There is no limit on cash, bank transfer, or online special donations, which can be deposited into the dedicated account (Woori Bank 015-176590-13-514) after registration with the district welfare policy department and the fundraising organization.
Donations can also be made via mobile Zero Pay through QR codes disclosed on the campaign videos broadcast on large electronic billboards around COEX and on the district office website.
Participants who present certification photos taken at the donation zones can watch movies at Megabox COEX with a 7,000 KRW discount, and discounts are also offered at major local restaurants and hotels.
