On the 30th, Yecheon-gun reported that a 47-year-old man, a family member of a previously confirmed case, tested positive while under self-quarantine.
The man, who lives in Yecheon-eup, began self-quarantine on the 15th after his family member was infected with COVID-19. Although he had continuously tested negative, his final test before the end of self-quarantine came back positive.
Yecheon-gun officials stated, "The additional confirmed case was under self-quarantine, so there was no external movement."
As a result, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Yecheon area has risen to 43.
