Korea Racing Authority Extends Racecourse Closure Period Until Next Month 10th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] The Korea Racing Authority announced on the 30th that it has decided to extend the temporary suspension of operations at all its business sites, including the Seoul Racecourse Park, for an additional week to prevent the spread of COVID-19, continuing until the 10th of next month.
The Korea Racing Authority had initially decided on an emergency temporary closure on February 23 and extended the temporary closure period six times, most recently until the 3rd of this month.
This decision was made based on the judgment that, although COVID-19 is entering a stabilization phase domestically and there are many demands to ease social distancing measures, it is still too early to be completely assured.
