[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jaehee] On the 30th, the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea increased by 4 compared to the previous day.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced that as of midnight on that day, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases increased by 4 from midnight the previous day, reaching 10,765.
All 4 new confirmed cases were imported cases, all identified during airport quarantine procedures. No new local confirmed cases occurred.
According to the CDCH announcement date, the daily number of new confirmed cases decreased to the teens with 18 cases on the 18th, and from the 19th to that day, it maintained a stable trend recording 6 to 14 cases for 11 consecutive days. On that day, the number dropped to 4, marking the lowest since patient number 31 was confirmed on February 18, 72 days ago.
As of midnight on that day, the total number of deaths among COVID-19 confirmed cases was 247. One death was reported the previous day.
