Muan Fire Station's Special Alert Duty on 'Buddha's Birthday'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jeonnam Muan Fire Station (Chief Park Won-guk) announced that it will enter special alert duty from 6 p.m. on the 29th to 9 a.m. on the 1st to prevent fires on Buddha's Birthday and respond promptly.
Although most Buddha's Birthday events were postponed to the 30th of next month due to COVID-19, some temples may hold ceremonies, so an increase in temple visitors is expected, prompting this measure.
The main measures include three daily fire prevention patrols at 15 major temples, forward deployment of firefighting forces at Wongapsa Temple, safety education for temple officials, adjustment of duty shifts and establishment of on-site command systems, and fire station chiefs working on the command line.
