Teenager Indicted for Luring 13 Children with Gift Cards to Film Sexual Exploitation Material
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A teenager who lured 13 children with gift cards to film child sexual exploitation videos has been brought to trial.
The Criminal Division 2 of the Bucheon Branch of Incheon District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Hyun-jung) announced on the 29th that A (18) was arrested and indicted on charges of producing and distributing obscene materials under the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse, and coercion, mediation, and sexual harassment of children under the Child Welfare Act.
A is accused of enticing 13 children from November last year to March this year by promising gift cards if they completed missions, then obtaining and possessing sexually exploitative videos.
Additionally, A is charged with abusing the 13 children by making them film sexual exploitation videos and forcing obscene acts that caused sexual humiliation.
The police received a complaint from the parent of one victim on the 8th, promptly arrested A, and after detaining him, transferred the case to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment.
