The Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 29th that they have apprehended and are investigating Mr. A (55) on charges of setting fire to his passenger car after being caught drunk driving (general arson of a building, etc.).
Mr. A is accused of drunk driving on a road in Gyelim-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, around 11 p.m. on the 26th, and setting fire to his vehicle parked in a nearby parking lot by the police officers conducting the crackdown.
