This six-day cosmetics shopping opportunity, held at Lotte Department Stores nationwide, is the largest-scale promotion since its opening, aimed at revitalizing local consumption as the COVID-19 situation, which lasted for three months, has recently stabilized.
During this promotion, customers can receive a 10% discount (by downloading the Lotte Department Store app coupon) and a gift certificate worth 10% of the purchase amount (given according to purchase tiers). Cosmetics brands also offer separate gift certificates of 5-10% and additional brand mileage points, so when all benefits are combined, consumers receive about twice the usual benefits when purchasing cosmetics.
A Lotte Department Store official explained, "We have prepared three types of promotions so that consumers can feel discounts at the level of prices they pay at duty-free shops, in order to satisfy the pent-up demand for duty-free cosmetics purchases, which amounts to 2.3 trillion won."
He added, "Domestic companies are suffering from a severe demand cliff due to COVID-19. We hope that this Cosmetic Fair will stimulate consumption at department stores and serve as a catalyst for domestic demand recovery, revitalizing not only the distribution industry but also the manufacturing sector as a whole."
