Kakao Community United in One Place... Pangyo Alphadom 'Master Lease'
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao will consolidate its scattered affiliates and move into a newly constructed building in Pangyo next year.
On the 29th, Kakao and Mirae Asset Global Investments signed a 10-year lease contract for the Pangyo Alphadom City Zone 6-1. The building has 15 floors above ground and 7 floors underground, with a total floor area of 162,775㎡. It is scheduled to be completed in October next year.
Kakao plans to lease the entire building and house its headquarters along with major affiliates there.
Although Kakao has 92 affiliates, except for its Jeju headquarters, it did not have an integrated office building. As a result, major affiliates, including the Kakao Pangyo office where 2,000 employees work, were scattered around Pangyo and other areas, renting separate offices.
