Seoul City Launches 'COVID-19' Response Guidelines App...Nation's First Mobile Service
Integrated Summary of Over 100 Guidelines Across 28 Topics... Equipped with Keyword Search for Prompt Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Seoul City announced on the 29th that it will support the nation's first 'COVID-19 Guideline Search' mobile app service to apply the latest on-site response guidelines and provide information to citizens in preparation for the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
After downloading the COVID-19 Guideline Search app on smartphones (Android·iOS), users can simply click on 28 different categories of guidelines to instantly view the latest guidelines provided by the Central Disease Control Headquarters and others.
This app consists of about 100 COVID-19 response guidelines needed on-site, organized into 28 topics such as ▲definition of target classification ▲response to confirmed cases ▲criteria for quarantine release ▲specimen collection ▲disinfection and waste disposal ▲use of personal protective equipment.
Additionally, it links to the Seoul Public Health Medical Foundation’s website to simultaneously display major COVID-19 news and Q&A issued by the foundation, and includes a search function that allows users to look up information on keywords related to COVID-19 such as incubation period, fatality rate, and disinfectants.
The city developed this app through a talent donation by the company Swallaby Co., Ltd. for medical staff at screening clinics who need to respond quickly to COVID-19, and plans to use it to provide accurate information about COVID-19 not only to on-site workers but also to citizens.
