Bonuses for Employment and Startups... Incheon City's 'Hope Job(Job)A Project'
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City announced on the 29th that it will continue the 'Hope Job(Job)A Project,' which provides performance rewards to participants in self-sufficiency projects who succeed in employment or entrepreneurship, this year as well.
The Hope Job(Job)A Project is a self-sufficiency success and welfare withdrawal support policy introduced by Incheon City in 2017 as the first of its kind nationwide to support employment stability and self-sufficiency success for low-income groups. So far, it has supported a total of 303 people who found jobs or started businesses with over 288 million KRW.
Among participants in self-sufficiency projects at local self-sufficiency centers, those who maintain employment for a certain period (up to 6 months for employment, up to 10 months for entrepreneurship) and receive a monthly salary of 1,354,000 KRW (standard income for market entry type) or more can receive performance rewards ranging from 300,000 KRW to a maximum of 1,500,000 KRW.
Applications can be made through local self-sufficiency centers, and district or county officials review eligibility and then provide performance rewards separately for employment and entrepreneurship.
