[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju FTA Utilization Support Center, operated by the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Jeong Chang-seon), announced on the 29th that it will conduct the "Korea-China FTA Utilization Expert Training" for local export company FTA managers and others on the 13th of next month in Lecture Room 1 of the underground education hall at the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce.
This training was established to strengthen the FTA utilization capabilities and practical knowledge of local company export-import managers, and will focus on ▲Overview of Korea-China FTA ▲Product classification ▲Rules of origin determination criteria and case studies ▲Issuance of Korea-China FTA certificates of origin ▲Authorized exporters ▲Post-verification, with customs officer Park Hyun-soo conducting the training over 7 hours.
Through this training, it is expected that the utilization of the Korea-China FTA by local companies will be significantly enhanced. Companies planning to export to China in the future are expected to improve their understanding of product classification methods and determination criteria for their products.
Companies already exporting to China are expected to greatly benefit by acquiring strategies for issuing Korea-China FTA certificates of origin and preparing for post-verification, thereby minimizing difficulties in their operations.
Additionally, this training is a course where participants can earn authorized exporter points necessary for certification of certificate of origin capabilities by the Korea Customs Service, and it is anticipated to be well received by export companies preparing to obtain or renew authorized exporter status.
