View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] BGF Retail announced on the 29th that it has signed a business agreement with Naver Happybean to create a multiplying donation culture through the connection of online and offline channels.
The signing ceremony was held at the BGF headquarters located in Gangnam-gu, attended by BGF Retail CEO Lee Geon-jun, Naver Happybean CEO Choi In-hyuk, and other officials.
Naver Happybean is an online donation platform operated by Naver, a domestic portal company, engaging about 16 million donors through various methods and themes such as the Good Action campaign created with socially responsible companies, donation support using its own donation currency called Kong, and funding for small business owners.
BGF Retail is taking the lead in fostering an O2O (Online to Offline) donation culture where online and offline are organically connected and synergies are multiplied by partnering with Naver Happybean and utilizing the nationwide infrastructure of over 14,000 CU stores.
To this end, both companies will cooperate on developing an integrated donation system linking the nationwide CU infrastructure with Naver Happybean, as well as developing and implementing joint social contribution programs between the BGF Group and Naver Happybean.
