The 2020 Daily Arts Capacity Building Project is a program that supports creative activities to help establish voluntary everyday cultural activities. This year, various customized programs such as expert mentoring will be operated to contribute to the practical growth of citizens.
The recruitment targets are everyday artists aged 19 or older who engage in creative activities in various genres of daily life, including five genres such as painting, crafts, music, theater, and musicals, as well as gardening, food art, collecting, photography, and literature. Among the applicants, 45 clubs and about 60 individuals will be selected through document screening. However, applicants with purposes different from the project, such as those involved in politics, religion, commercial activities, or professional artists active in the relevant fields, will be excluded from the screening.
The finally selected everyday artists can participate in various programs for practical capacity building from June to November, including ▲'Expert Mentoring' that helps participants' idea planning and daily arts activities through experts in supported genres ▲'Customized Education Programs' necessary for daily arts activities ▲genre-specific workshops ▲and a daily artists' results sharing meeting. In addition, they will receive promotional support through online channels operated by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's Everyday Culture Team (Everyday Culture Platform, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram).
