Gwangju Shinsegae to Give Away Pet Plants and Set Up Healing Rose Garden Starting from the 30th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Dong-hoon) announced on the 28th that following the support for tulip flower farms on the 17th, it will present companion plants and set up a healing rose garden starting from the 30th.
The companion plant giveaway aims to help flower farms recently struggling due to blocked sales channels and to add comfort to customers' daily lives by purchasing and distributing about 10,000 plant pots based on Shinsegae's company-wide standards.
The plants introduced this time are three types: rosemary, chili pepper, and Spathiphyllum, which can be used for indoor air purification, interior decoration, as well as cooking.
A ‘kit’ containing instructions on how to care for the companion plants and name tags will also be provided, allowing children to develop attachment and learn the joy and importance of nurturing companion plants.
The companion plant pots and kits prepared by Shinsegae can be received on a first-come, first-served basis until 900 units (limited quantity) are exhausted at the promotional event hall on the 1st floor of the Gwangju Shinsegae main building when purchasing over 10,000 KRW with a Shinsegae affiliated card.
A healing space to soothe tired customers' hearts has also been prepared.
From the 30th until the 24th of next month, a ‘Healing Rose Garden’ will be set up at the cultural plaza on the 1st floor of Gwangju Shinsegae in collaboration with local flower farms to provide customers with visual enjoyment.
The Healing Rose Garden was developed to support flower farms in the Mangwoldong area.
Additionally, a special event for Family Month has been prepared.
From the 1st to the 3rd of next month, helium balloons will be given to customers who purchase from children's brands at the children's store on the 6th floor of the main building.
Also, the store music will be newly changed. Shinsegae Department Store branches will play ‘10 Classical Music Pieces Good to Listen to with Family’ carefully selected by the Seoul Arts Center.
The selections include popular classical pieces easily accessible even to children unfamiliar with classical music, such as Mozart’s ‘Turkish March’ and Tchaikovsky’s ‘Waltz of the Flowers’ from The Nutcracker. It is also possible to listen in advance via mobile DM received through text messages.
Moreover, at the gallery on the 1st floor of Gwangju Shinsegae, an exhibition themed ‘Records of Some Families’ is being held from the 24th of last month until the 26th of next month, allowing visitors to realize the importance of family and reflect on its meaning once again.
The participating artists are Kim Tae-hyung, Bae Jong-hyun, Sung Tae-jin, Lim Hyun-chae, Jo Se-rang, Jo Jang-eun, and Han Sang-ah.
