Korea Railroad Expands Seat Supply to Alleviate Congestion During Golden Holiday Period
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 28th that from the 29th of this month to the 3rd of next month, it will add 8 passenger cars to 16 KTX-Sancheon trains running on the Honam, Jeolla, and Gyeongjeon lines to alleviate congestion inside the trains.
During this period, standing tickets will not be sold on these trains.
Additionally, to ensure passenger safety, all railway stations nationwide will be disinfected twice daily, and antibacterial films will be applied to frequently touched areas such as door handles, elevator buttons, nursing room and customer waiting room automatic door buttons, focusing on preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
