Gyeonggi Urban公 Rolls Up Sleeves to Guarantee Housing Rights for Children and Adolescents
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation is implementing special measures, including supplying rental housing, to guarantee housing rights for children and adolescents.
On the 28th, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation announced that it signed a business agreement with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation at the 5th-floor conference room of the Urban Innovation Corporation headquarters in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, agreeing to work together to guarantee housing rights for children and adolescents.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will continuously exchange and cooperate to ▲actively identify target households ▲provide housing welfare project information and services, and resource linkage ▲establish research, investigation, and cooperation systems ▲support counseling project personnel and provide education for residents.
In particular, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation will pilot supply one building with eight units of purchased rental housing located in Ansan City at about 30% of the market price in May to stabilize housing for households living with children under 18 years old. Additionally, by the end of this year, through related research projects, they plan to identify the housing conditions and housing welfare demands of child households in the province and seek support measures accordingly.
