LS Cable & System Donates 100 Million KRW in 'COVID-19 Overcome Food Packs' and More to Sejong City
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LS Cable announced on the 28th that it donated 100 million KRW to Sejong City to support overcoming the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and social welfare facilities.
At the donation ceremony held at Sejong City Hall on the same day, Park Jeongil, CEO of Sejong Cable, a subsidiary of LS Cable, Lee Chunhee, Mayor of Sejong, and Hong Youngseop, Chairman of the Sejong Community Chest of Korea, attended.
The donation will be used to support the "COVID-19 Overcoming Food Pack Project," which provides food and daily necessities to elderly living alone and low-income families who are at risk of food shortages due to the closure of welfare facilities.

Last year, LS Cable established ties with Sejong City by acquiring the assets of the bankrupt cable company S1Tech (now Sejong Cable) and revitalizing it. Sejong Cable has hired about 50 people, including re-employing about 20 former employees, and began normal operations in November last year.
