The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family held this meeting under the theme "Cooperation for Greater Impact: COVID-19 and Gender" to share international community approaches supporting women and girls who are in vulnerable positions during the COVID-19 phase.
High-level representatives from various countries, including Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Executive Director of UN Women, the World Bank, and the International Finance Corporation, attended. They agreed to continue close cooperation and ongoing policy sharing among international organizations to overcome the COVID-19 crisis and restore the lives of women suffering from its effects.

In her closing remarks, Minister Lee said, "Korea is efficiently overcoming the COVID-19 crisis through collaborative governance that transcends boundaries among related ministries, local governments, and civil society based on openness and transparency," and added, "I propose establishing a framework for sharing best practices and information among countries and international organizations based on multilateralism to ensure that women's specific needs are reflected in policies for overcoming and recovering from COVID-19."
