Silicon Works will provide laptops capable of online classes, toys, and educational stationery to Jahyewon, a child welfare facility in Daejeon, and vulnerable children in the Yangjae area of Seoul.
This donation social contribution activity will be conducted in an "untact (non-face-to-face)" manner to participate in the "social distancing" campaign due to COVID-19.
Previously, employee volunteers visited welfare facilities in person to deliver goods and spend time with the children, but this time, only clean support items will be delivered without face-to-face contact between employees and children.
Considering the lack of smart devices compared to the number of students in the welfare facilities, which limits participation in classes even after online school openings, the company decided to support laptops.
