[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] The Administrative and Security Committee's Budget, Settlement, and Fund Review Subcommittee, convened to discuss the second supplementary budget bill for the emergency disaster relief fund, adjourned after one hour of session.
The subcommittee meeting held at 11 a.m. on the 28th at the National Assembly was convened to approve the supplementary budget bill reviewed at the full Administrative and Security Committee meeting on the 27th. However, due to the tardiness and absence of members, the quorum of six members required for approval was not met, and the meeting was ultimately adjourned. The subcommittee consists of a total of 10 members: four from the Democratic Party, four from the United Future Party, and two from non-negotiating parties.
On this day, the subcommittee convened with only Democratic Party member Hong Ik-pyo and United Future Party members Kim Young-woo and Lee Jin-bok present. Democratic Party member Kwon Mi-hyuk and independent member Jung In-hwa attended the meeting late, while Democratic Party member Kang Chang-il, United Future Party members Park Wan-soo and Ahn Sang-soo, and Our Republican Party member Cho Won-jin were absent. Democratic Party member So Byung-hoon was reportedly unable to attend due to shingles. The meeting was postponed to 9 a.m. on the 29th.
