Kolon Produces Mind Dream Pack to Overcome COVID-19 Crisis
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Kolon Group has stepped up to support children struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Kolon Social Service Corps (Chief Director Seo Chang-hee) produced 'Mind Dream Packs' containing hygiene products and psychological support items for vulnerable children on the 28th and delivered them to 40 local children's centers. These packs are expected to be distributed to 700 elementary school students nationwide who are in blind spots of care due to the suspension of local children's center operations.
The Mind Dream Packs include 10 items such as masks, portable hand sanitizers, snacks, and play materials. A science kit produced by 'Eco Longlong,' an eco-friendly energy school operated by Kolon Group with support from the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, was also provided along with online content to enable learning at home.
This event was held as part of Kolon Group's company-wide 'Add, Multiply, and Share' campaign, which has been ongoing since last month to help neighbors affected by COVID-19. Kolon employees actively participated by contributing funds through the 'Adding Hearts' donation for purchasing these items, promoting small business owners through the 'Multiply 12,438 Helping Hands' campaign, and donating blood through the 'Sharing Body Temperature' initiative.
The Kolon Social Service Corps has been steadily running the social contribution campaign 'Hello Dream' since 2012, which helps marginalized youth find and nurture their dreams. Every year, all new employees create Dream Packs with school supplies for the new semester and deliver them to underprivileged children, in addition to participating in various volunteer activities.
