[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] LG Chem stated during the conference call following the announcement of its Q1 2020 earnings on the 28th, "In the short term, there were delays in the expansion of the China plant due to the impact of COVID-19," but added, "There is no change to the plan to expand battery capacity to 100 gigawatt-hours (GWh) by the end of this year and 120 GWh by next year." They further noted, "In addition to the expansion in Nanjing, we are pursuing a joint venture with China's Geely, and the schedule is progressing without any issues compared to the original mass production plan."
