LH to Boost Job Market Vitality by Early Hiring of 600 Youth Interns
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) will accelerate the early recruitment of 600 youth interns to revitalize the job market, which has been sluggish due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
LH announced on the 28th that it will begin recruiting 600 youth interns starting from the 29th. The announcement date has been moved up by two months compared to last year, and both the number of recruits and the working period have increased from 550 and four and a half months last year to 600 and five months, respectively.
The eligibility requirement is youth aged 18 to 34 as of the announcement date. Recruitment fields are divided into office and technical areas, and hiring will be conducted based on regional work locations. Holders of certifications such as licensed real estate agents and civil engineering or architecture engineers will receive additional points.
Starting with the recruitment announcement on the 29th, applications will be accepted from the 8th to the 13th of next month. Interviews will then be conducted from June 8th to 12th, with the final successful candidates announced at the end of June. After a medical examination, work is scheduled to begin on June 30th.
If the severe COVID-19 situation continues until the application deadline on the 13th of next month, LH plans to conduct online interviews to ensure the safety of applicants.
LH’s youth intern program will include experiences such as AI interview trials, which are a recent trend in the recruitment market, sharing know-how from new employees who have experienced youth internships, and customized recruitment meetings with senior employees. If interns demonstrate outstanding capabilities during their work, they may be selected as 'Excellent Intern' or 'Outstanding Intern,' which grants benefits such as exemption from document screening and additional points when applying for LH’s new employee recruitment in the future.
