The Flower Farm Support Relay Campaign is a public campaign that started in February to support flower farms struggling due to the cancellation of various events such as entrance and graduation ceremonies amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign proceeds by having the previous participant designate the next participant. CEO Kwon was recommended by the previous participant, Vice Chairman Ahn Byung-duk of Kolon Group.
At the event, CEO Kwon personally delivered bouquets and snacks to about 50 cleaning staff at the head office, who work hard daily to maintain disinfection and cleanliness for the safety of customers and employees, expressing his gratitude.
He also presented freesias, whose flower language means 'new beginning,' to customers visiting the head office sales department, wishing for the early end of COVID-19 and encouraging overcoming the current crisis wisely and making a fresh start.
CEO Kwon said, "I participated in the campaign not only to support flower farms but also to express gratitude to those who quietly fulfill their duties," adding, "Woori Bank will do its best so that small business owners can soon regain smiles blooming like flowers."
CEO Kwon designated Park Cha-hoon, Chairman of the National Credit Union Federation of Korea, as the next relay participant.
Meanwhile, Woori Bank is conducting financial support activities for affected companies and small business owners struggling due to COVID-19 by dispatching professionals to regional credit guarantee foundations and operating dedicated counters for the Seoul Credit Foundation at over 300 branches in Seoul.
