On the 28th, Jeonnam Sinan-gun announced that on the 27th, a commemorative ceremony was held to connect the last deck of the marine bridge, which emerged after more than seven years since construction began, attended by County Governor Park Woo-ryang, the Director of the Road Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and construction officials.
Imja Bridge consists of two bridges connecting Jomam-ri, Jido-eup ↔ Sudori, Imja-myeon, and Sudori, Imja-myeon ↔ Jinri, with a total length of 4.99 km, a width of 11.9 m, two lanes for two-way traffic, and a project cost of 176.1 billion KRW.
Imja 1st Bridge (tentative name), connecting Imjado and Sudo, has a total length of 750 m, and Imja 2nd Bridge (tentative name), connecting Sudo and Jido, has a total length of 1,135 m. Construction began in October 2013 and is currently progressing smoothly with an 85% completion rate.
