Naver Homepage Redesigned for the First Time in 3 Years... Search Bar Fixed in Place
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver is completely revamping its PC main screen on the 28th, including fixing the search bar at the top. This is the first change in three years since March 2017.
Naver has fixed the search bar at the very top of the screen in a 'sticky' form so that users can use the search function immediately no matter where they are on the main screen.
Even when scrolling down to the bottom of the screen, the search bar is always visible at the top. Users do not need to scroll back up or move the screen to search again.
Naver explained, "21% of clicks on the PC version's first screen are related to search," adding, "We fixed the search bar at the top so that users can search a little faster and more conveniently no matter where they are on the Naver main screen."
Considering the widespread use of high-resolution devices such as tablet PCs, the main screen size has also been widened horizontally. The PC screen width has been expanded from the previous 1080 pixels to 1130 pixels. The font size has also been increased, reflecting concerns that text may appear smaller on high-resolution devices.
For themed boards, optimized templates for each content have been prepared and preview functions have been enhanced.
