At Ecolian Yeonggwang Golf Course, where most visitors are residents of Jeollanam-do, a promotion to collect masks from customers, including employees, was held throughout April, and it was announced on the 27th that the target quantity of 1,000 masks was achieved ahead of schedule.
The 1,000 masks collected through donations will be used meaningfully for the ‘Please Wear My Mask First’ campaign for visually impaired people in Gyeonggi-do and for neighbors in welfare blind spots in Jeollanam-do who have difficulty obtaining masks.
Ecolian Yeonggwang Golf Course (Branch Manager Ham Eun-cheol) is known to have held a charity golf tournament every year to support marginalized neighbors in Yeonggwang-gun, where the golf course is located, striving for regional coexistence and popularization of golf.
An official from the foundation said, “Operating the golf course is important, but the role as a sports public institution is also important,” and added, “Our country and people are becoming a global model in overcoming COVID-19. The foundation will continue to work with one heart to promote regional coexistence and strive to allow everyone to enjoy golf culture at affordable prices.”
