Haenam-gun Cracks Down on Overnight Parking of Large Vehicles to Ensure Traffic Safety
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan) announced on the 27th that it will crack down on overnight parking of commercial vehicles (cargo, passenger) outside designated garages to ensure the traffic safety of residents.
Although the county conducts monthly crackdowns on overnight parking and illegal activities have been decreasing, traffic inconveniences caused by large vehicles illegally parked on roads or residential areas have not been completely resolved, so the county has decided to strengthen enforcement.
This crackdown will focus on commercial large vehicles causing traffic inconvenience due to "overnight parking outside designated garages." The existing monthly inspections will be expanded to random inspections to eradicate illegal activities.
After prior guidance for commercial large vehicles parked outside designated garages at night, enforcement will be carried out on vehicles parked for more than one hour from midnight to 4 a.m., with administrative measures (fines up to 200,000 KRW) to be imposed.
