On the 27th, LG Electronics announced that the LG Gram laptop introduction video, released on social networking services (SNS) such as YouTube and Facebook at the end of February, exceeded 30 million views.
The LG Gram video features people dressed in colorful outfits holding the LG Gram and dancing to music. Without explaining the product features, it expresses the advantages of the LG Gram through fun dance moves and facial expressions. In 2016, LG Electronics also attracted attention with a unique video using 'paper art' to create the LG Gram out of paper. At that time, the video surpassed 3.5 million views within a month of release, and this year's LG Gram video recorded a spread speed four times faster than that.
LG Electronics is actively targeting the overseas laptop market by emphasizing large screens, high performance, and portability. Since first introducing the LG Gram in Korea in 2014, it has expanded to the United States, Japan, China, and this year to 15 countries including Canada, Italy, and Germany.
The response from overseas markets is also positive. Earlier this year, LG Gram was consecutively selected as the best large-screen laptop and the best battery performance laptop by a leading U.S. consumer media outlet. The LG Gram 14 and LG Gram 17 also ranked first in the comprehensive laptop performance evaluation conducted by this media.
