Yeongdeungpo-gu Installs National Location Number Plates Around Anyangcheon to Prevent Safety Accidents
Installation of National Location Number Plates Completed on Anyangcheon Bicycle Path (Sinjeonggyo~Yeomchanggyo) 5km Section... 10 Plates Installed at 500m Intervals for Rapid Emergency Service in Urgent Situations
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Chae Hyun-il) has completed the installation of 'National Point Number Plates' along a 5km section of the Anyangcheon bicycle path, enabling proactive response to safety accidents.
Due to the fast-paced nature of cycling as a sport, there is a high risk of safety accidents, but the Anyangcheon bicycle path lacked addresses, making it difficult to determine locations in emergencies.
To address this, the district completed the installation of 10 National Point Number Plates at 500m intervals along the 5km section from Sinjeonggyo to Yeomchanggyo on Anyangcheon, significantly enhancing emergency response capabilities.
The National Point Number system is a location marking system used to find locations in non-residential areas without roads or buildings (such as mountains, fields, seas, etc.) by dividing the entire national territory and adjacent seas into regular intervals and assigning numbers to each point (e.g., Dasa 4617 4871).
Therefore, in case of an accident while using the Anyangcheon bicycle path, reporting the nearby National Point Number to emergency services like 119 allows rescue teams to accurately identify the location and respond quickly.
The National Point Number Plates are double-sided for easy recognition from both directions and are equipped with reflective sheets to improve visibility at night. Additionally, scanning the QR code on the plate immediately connects to the 'Seoul Comprehensive Disaster and Safety Center.'
The district plans to share the location information of the National Point Number Plates installed on the Anyangcheon bicycle path with Yeongdeungpo Fire Station and Yeongdeungpo Police Station to help avoid missing the golden time during emergency rescues.
