Gwangju City Holds 'Omena Finding' Online Event Until the 30th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 23rd that it will hold an online event called ‘Finding Omaena,’ featuring the Omae Gwangju cultural tourism character, from the 23rd to the 30th.
The ‘Omaena’ character was created on the 19th of last month through various feedback processes including expert evaluations and nationwide voting, starting with the ‘Omae Gwangju Tourism Character Contest’ held in February.
This event was organized to promote Omaena. In particular, clicking the link on the event page connects users to a page introducing Omaena and offering image downloads.
Participation in the event is automatically completed by commenting the number of appearances of the Omaena character shown in the video posted on the official Omae Gwangju social network service (SNS) channels such as blogs, Facebook, and Instagram.
Gwangju City plans to announce the event results on the official Omae Gwangju social network service (SNS) channels on the 4th of next month, and 50 winners will receive coffee coupons.
Additionally, next month, actors who will perform in the Omaena mascot costume and writers who will create the story will be selected through an open audition.
The Omaena mascot costume will travel around the country to promote Gwangju once the COVID-19 situation calms down. Furthermore, videos documenting these activities will be showcased on platforms such as YouTube.
