View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced on the 23rd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK C&C to explore new digital-based business opportunities.
The two companies will discover new businesses by integrating insurance and information and communication technology (ICT) innovations, and will also operate a regular consultative body to share global trends. Additionally, they will provide consulting related to finance and ICT technologies to startups.
Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance recently opened the Digital Partner Center, an online channel for collaboration with startups and others within the digital ecosystem. They plan to promote cooperation in various areas such as business partnerships, application of new technologies, and investment attraction.
Lee Seok-jin, Head of Channel Marketing Group at SK C&C, said, "We have business experience across various industries based on digital assets," adding, "Through discovering and nurturing startups with Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, we will expand the Digital Eco and create new collaborative businesses."
