Hyundai Motor Launches '2020 Sonata' with Enhanced Quietness and Driving Performance
[Asia Economy Reporter Su-yeon Woo] Hyundai Motor Company launched the 2020 Sonata, a model year update of the 8th generation Sonata with enhanced quietness and driving performance, on the 23rd.
Hyundai applied windshield molding and thicker first-row fixed glass to all 2020 Sonata models to further improve quietness. The gasoline 2.0 model added laminated soundproof glass to reduce noise. Additionally, the gasoline 2.0 model improved acceleration responsiveness through changes in the transmission pattern.
Popular features to increase customer satisfaction were also widely expanded. The Premium Family and Premium Millennial trims, popular among gasoline and hybrid models, come standard with a 10.25-inch navigation system. The 10.25-inch navigation system is a highly preferred feature, chosen by over 95% of customers purchasing the Premium Family and Millennial trims.
The Premium Millennial trim also comes standard with projection-type full LED headlamps. Napa leather seats, previously only available on the top-tier Inspiration trim, were added as an optional feature for the Premium Millennial trim, enhancing the sense of luxury.
The prices of the 2020 Sonata are as follows: gasoline 2.0 from 23.26 million to 32.17 million KRW, Sensuous (1.6 gasoline turbo) from 24.27 million to 32.87 million KRW, hybrid from 27.54 million to 35.79 million KRW, and LPi 2.0 (for general sale) from 25.75 million to 32.32 million KRW.
