[Asia Top Brand] SK Broadband, Free Internet Upgrade and Expansion of Homeschooling
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] SK Broadband is providing free internet bandwidth upgrades to universities that have started online classes due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Additionally, it is expanding the content of the ‘B tv Homeschooling Special Section’ to cover children from preschool age up to 6th grade in elementary school.
On the 27th, SK Broadband announced that it has upgraded the internet bandwidth for 21 universities using its dedicated lines free of charge, enabling college students to smoothly attend online lectures from home or cafes. SK Broadband plans to work closely with university clients to ensure stable dedicated line services so that academic schedules proceed without disruption.
Since the end of February, the range and number of contents in the free ‘B tv Homeschooling Special Section’ have also been expanded. Previously, the ‘B tv Homeschooling Special Section’ provided content mainly for preschool children through 3rd graders, but now the target audience has been extended up to 6th graders. It offers a total of 122 titles and 1,575 learning VODs for free, including must-read books for elementary students produced by EBS and Hansol Education, as well as Korean alphabet learning, math basics, alphabet mastery, and safety education for preschool children.
