Naver Makes New Investments in Two AI Startups in Beauty and Education Sectors
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Naver's startup nurturing organization 'D2SF' announced on the 22nd that it has made new investments in two startups utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in the beauty and education sectors, respectively.
The startups receiving investment are ArtLab, which is developing AI diagnosis, prescription, and manufacturing solutions for customized cosmetics, and JejeDuda, which is developing AI-based math education solutions.
Both companies also achieved excellent results last year at the hackathon 'AI Starthon 2019,' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), and operated by Naver.
Yang Sanghwan, leader of Naver D2SF, said, "Both startups possess excellent technological capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of their respective business fields, so we expect them to grow rapidly."
