Seoul City Work-Life Balance Support Center to Select a Total of 25 Locations This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] "Our company also wants to introduce a work-life balance (WLB) system, but we are concerned about work efficiency. What kind of system should we implement?"
Companies and organizations located in Seoul that are interested in supporting the balance between employees' work, family, and life can receive free consulting from the Seoul Work-Life Balance Support Center. The center is currently accepting applications for customized on-site consulting to create workplaces with balanced work and life. This year, a total of 25 organizations will be selected.
Due to concerns about the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), phone consultations will be prioritized before any visits.
Companies can receive an assessment of their WLB system level based on their industry and employee status, and consultations are available from system introduction to utilization and organizational culture development. According to last year's consulting results conducted by the center, voluntary use of paternity leave by men increased, and through government institutional support, youth employment stability was secured, demonstrating effective corporate management alongside WLB systems.
During the consulting process, employee participation led to a 91.7% on-site application rate of systems and programs tailored to each organization's situation, indicating high effectiveness. Applications for consulting can be made through the center's website, and inquiries can also be made by phone. Small and medium-sized enterprises are given priority.
