Gangdong-gu Unmanned Civil Service Issuance Machine Credit Card and Mobile Easy Payment
Enhancing Customer Convenience by Diversifying Payment Methods for Civil Document Issuance Fees
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) has introduced and is currently operating credit card and mobile payment services on unmanned civil document issuance machines that previously accepted only cash payments.
Although the main purpose of unmanned civil document issuance machines is to provide the convenience of issuing civil documents nearby without visiting government offices, there was an inconvenience in that fees had to be paid only in cash.
Accordingly, in March, the district improved the system of the unmanned civil document issuance machines to allow fee payments not only by cash but also by credit/debit cards and mobile payments (Samsung Pay).
There are a total of 13 unmanned civil document issuance machines that accept cash, card, and mobile payments, located at Gangdong-gu Office, Gangdong-gu Health Center, Gangdong Tax Office, Amsa, Godeok, Cheonho, Dunchon-dong, Gildong, Gubeundari, Sangil-dong Stations, Gangdong Kyunghee University Hospital, Central Veterans Hospital, and Gangdong Seongsim Hospital.
There are six unmanned civil document issuance machines that accept only cash payments. For the machines located in Gangil, Cheonho 3, Amsa 1, Sangil, and Gildong community centers, the payment methods will be improved soon. However, the machine dedicated to real estate, corporate registration certificates, and corporate seals on the first floor of Gangdong-gu Office uses a different operating system and will continue to accept only cash payments in the future.
