The Good Rent Hope Relay Campaign began as a movement spreading nationwide, where landlords voluntarily reduce rents to ease the burden on small business owners amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, which has worsened the management difficulties of self-employed and small business owners.
Mayor Kim Jong-sik said, "I deeply appreciate the good landlords who have come together to support each other in difficult times through this relay campaign," and added, "Those who participate are supported with property tax reductions, so I hope more landlords actively join to bring hope to struggling small business owners."
