On the 19th (local time), according to the American media ComicBook.com, the production of 'The Walking Dead' Season 10 final episode has been halted due to the COVID-19 situation, preventing its broadcast.
The final episode of the American AMC drama 'The Walking Dead' Season 10, which has been airing since October last year, was scheduled to air on the 12th of this month (local time). However, production was completely stopped due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and post-production work has not been completed.
The American broadcaster AMC stated in an official announcement, "'The Walking Dead' Season 10 final episode cannot complete post-production due to COVID-19, so the season will conclude with episode 15 on April 5."
According to reports, the final episode of 'The Walking Dead' Season 10 was expected to feature special effects scenes including dozens of survivors attempting to escape from thousands of zombies. These scenes are known to be critical parts requiring special effects that cannot be completed remotely.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan in the series, mentioned the effects appearing in 'The Walking Dead' Season 10 finale in an interview with an American media outlet. He said, "The production team created something fans can look forward to, and it’s really cool," adding, "The director and producers promised they won’t be disappointed."
Season 11 was scheduled to air in October this year, but it is uncertain whether it will proceed as planned. The script work for Season 11 is being conducted remotely.
