[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Park Sun-mi] China reported 12 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in one day.
On the 20th, the National Health Commission of China (NHC) announced that as of midnight, there were 12 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. Among them, 8 cases were imported infections from overseas. Four cases were locally transmitted within mainland China, with 3 in Heilongjiang Province and 1 in Neimenggu.
So far, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in China is 82,747. There have been 4,632 deaths, and 77,084 patients have been discharged. Currently, 1,031 confirmed patients are receiving treatment in hospitals. There are 43 suspected cases, and 8,694 close contacts are under medical observation.
An additional 49 asymptomatic infections, which are not included in the confirmed case statistics, were reported, bringing the total number of asymptomatic infections under medical observation to 990.

Outside mainland China, in the Greater China region, a total of 1,490 confirmed cases have been reported: 1,025 in Hong Kong, 45 in Macao, and 420 in Taiwan.
