Railroad Corporation Receives 'Excellent' Rating in Safety Activity Level Assessment
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Rail Network Authority has secured an excellent grade in the safety activity level evaluation.
The Rail Network Authority announced on the 19th that it received the highest grade, 'A grade,' in the '2019 Public Institution Safety Activity Level Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The safety activity level evaluation is conducted targeting public institutions with the purpose of establishing a safety-centered management system and enhancing the level of safety and health management in workplaces. The evaluation is based on 34 items across four areas, including safety and health systems and safety and health activity performance.
In the evaluation, the Rail Network Authority was recognized for efforts such as ▲ carrying out field-centered safety management activities to achieve zero accidents ▲ realizing realistic safety management costs for partner companies by improving the calculation method of safety management expenses ▲ strengthening worker safety by expanding the deployment of smart safety equipment such as air vests and proximity alarm sensors ▲ establishing a safety-centered management system by reinforcing local safety organizations and dedicated personnel with 127 members ▲ and fostering a participatory, company-wide safety culture.
