Financial Supervisory Service Opens Applications for Practical Finance Courses for University Second Semester by End of June... New Online Lectures Introduced
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced on the 19th that it will accept applications for support for the 2020 second semester university 'Practical Finance' education from the 20th to June 30th.
To improve accessibility to education, the FSS has newly established online courses.
Universities wishing to open Practical Finance courses can apply through the FSS Financial Education Center website.
The FSS provides related textbooks, teaching materials, and materials for online courses.
If requested by universities, the FSS plans to dispatch staff with financial expertise and extensive field experience as lecturers.
All students taking Practical Finance courses will be provided with the 'Practical Finance for University Students' textbook developed by the FSS free of charge.
The FSS has been supporting the establishment of Practical Finance courses since 2016 to help university students acquire basic financial literacy through university curricula.
In the first semester of this year, 83 courses were held at 75 universities nationwide, with about 5,500 students enrolled.
