View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Cha Myung-jin, the United Future Party candidate for Bucheon B in Gyeonggi Province, sympathized with the 'early voting conspiracy theory' raised by some conservative supporters. He then urged the party leadership to raise suspicions about early voting.
On the 18th, Candidate Cha wrote on his Facebook, "At first, I didn't believe it either."
This was in reference to the 'early voting conspiracy theory' raised among some conservative supporters after the United Future Party candidate, despite leading in the main voting during the 21st general election, was overtaken in early voting.
He continued, "When stories like 'the early voting ballots are strange, they were transported in tofu delivery boxes...' came out, I just thought it was a matter of poor management."
Candidate Cha then claimed, "After listening to the Garosero Research Institute (a YouTube channel by lawyer Kang Yong-seok), I found that in at least 12 early voting results, the ratio of votes inside and outside the district for Candidate A and Candidate B were exactly the same."
He also explained, "If two students taking the same exam have answer sheets that are exactly the same, down to every correct and incorrect answer, that would be strange," adding, "It is said that such cases have occurred in 12 places nationwide."
Candidate Cha emphasized, "At the very least, these places should have their early voting boxes re-examined." He then urged the party leadership, saying, "United Future Party leadership, what are you doing?" and called on them to raise the early voting conspiracy theory.
Earlier, Lee Jun-seok, the Supreme Council member of the United Future Party, strongly criticized the fraudulent election conspiracy theory, saying, "It is time to reflect and resolve to innovate," and added, "It is precisely because of this that the public has turned away."
